Ohita Museum
The proposal was for the prefectural art museum, where the height above sea level of the selected site is low and the risk of tsunami damage is under assessment. In order to reduce the risk of water damage to exhibits and to ensure their preservation, valuable artworks were placed on a terrace, sufficiently higher than sea level to secure their safety. A tsunami evacuation tower at this site providing an evacuation base of citizens was also proposed.
